Vivek Chaand Sehgal is the chairman of the $23 billion (revenue) Motherson Group, which he established with his mother in 1975. Sehgal draws the biggest chunk of his wealth from autoparts flagship Samvardhana Motherson International, formerly known as Motherson Sumi. In 2022, he hived off the India wiring harness business and listed it as Motherson Sumi Wiring India on the Indian bourses. The group's clients include BMW, Ford, Mercedes, Toyota and Volkswagen. His son Laksh Vaaman Sehgal is a director on the boards of both Samvardhana Motherson International and Motherson Sumi Wiring India.
