About Me

Travis Boersma is the cofounder and executive chairman of Oregon-based coffee chain Dutch Bros. Boersma took Dutch Bros public on the New York Stock Exchange in September 2021; he owns nearly 60 million shares. He and his late brother Dane (d. 2009) started selling coffee from a pushcart in Grants Pass, Oregon in 1992 after quitting the family dairy business. Dutch Bros, which added the first of its now popular drive-through locations in 1994, now has over 1000 shops in 19 states. The company is known for its quirky culture; its baristas are called "broistas" and it offers beverages such as the "Hot Annihilator."
