About Me

Toby Neugebauer is the CEO and cofounder of Fermi America, an Amarillo, Texas-based data center real estate investment trust. Neugebauer launched the firm in January 2025 with former energy secretary and Texas governor Rick Perry and Perry's son Griffin. The cofounders took Fermi public just nine months later on the Nasdaq at a $12.5 billion valuation; Neugebauer and his family own a 29% stake. Fermi is planning to build an 11-gigawatt energy and data center campus on a 5,236-acre site in Amarillo, Texas. Prior to cofounding Fermi, Neugebauer was the CEO and executive chairman of GloriFi, a short-lived "anti-woke" fintech startup that filed for bankruptcy in February 2023.
