Mary Alice Dorrance Malone Jr. is a great-granddaughter of John T. Dorrance, who invented Campbell's Soup in 1897. Mary Alice Jr. and her sister, Catherine Dorrance Malone, inherited an 18% combined stake in The Campbell's Company when their mother, Mary Alice Dorrance Malone Sr., died in June 2025. Mary Alice Jr. replaced her mother on the company's board in July 2025. Her cousin, Bennett Dorrance Jr., and her mother's cousin, Archbold van Beuren, are also billionaire directors of the company. Mary Alice Jr. and her sister grew up on their mother's horse breeding farm in Coatesville, Pa. An accomplished dressage rider, Mary Alice Jr. once made the U.S. Junior Olympic Equestrian Team. She founded luxury footwear brand Malone Souliers in 2014 and relaunched the forty-year-old UK footwear brand Duo Boots in 2020 after buying the company out of bankruptcy. Mary Alice Jr. lives in London, where she studied shoemaking at the London College of Fashion.
