John Liew is co-founder of AQR, a money management firm that trades through a systematic, data-driven approach. The firm focuses on factor-based investing and held $187 billion of assets under management as of March 2026. Based in Greenwich, Connecticut, AQR operates globally with offices from London to Sydney and Hong Kong. Before cofounding AQR, Liew worked at Goldman Sachs as a portfolio manager, where he developed and managed quantitative trading strategies. He created the Liew College Fellows Fund to finance undergraduates who have unpaid research opportunities with the University of Chicago's faculty.
