Aluru Jagdish Prasad is chairman and managing director of Hyderabad-based HBL Power Systems, which makes everything from industrial batteries to energy saving motors. Its batteries are used in aircraft, data centres, submarines, missiles and battle tanks. It also makes train collision avoidance systems for the Indian Railways. He founded the business in 1977. He started off by making aircraft batteries for the Indian Air Force.
